DECREES

CONFIRMATION OF THE TYPE OF REGIONAL ELECTION

The superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, the 10th of November 2004, with the favorable vote of his Council, confirms the decision taken in the extraordinary regional conference of the Region of Congo on the type of election of the Regional Superior, Vice Regional and Councilors:

-           Regional Superior: will be elected according to the article 136.1 of the Constitutions;

-           Regional Councilors: will be elected according to the article 138.1 of the Constitutions;

-           The Vice Regional will be chosen among the elected Councilors (Prot. n. 209/04).

CLOSURE OF COMMUNITIES

The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, in a meeting on November 17, 2004, having taken note of the request of the Delegation of Congo Kinshasa and having had the favourable opinion of his Council, decided to close the local IMC community of St. Mukasa of Lukunga and transfer that parish to the Archdiocese of Kinshasa.

EXCLAUSTRATIONS

On November 11, 2004, the Superior General granted an indult of exclaustration for three years to Fr. Deogratias Kibirango, so that he can exercise his priestly ministry under the Bishop of Barquisimeto - Venezuela (Prot. 214/04).

On January 18, 2005, the Superior General granted an indult of exclaustration for three years to Fr. Jacques William Otieno, so that he can exercise his priestly ministry under the Archbishop of Westminster - England (Prot. 05/05).
