DECREESSALE OF PROPERTY Prot. no. 257/03 The Superior General in a meeting of the Council on November 10, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Region of Italy, with the assent of the General Administrator and the favorable vote of the General Council, authorizes the sale of the Bedizzole House in the Diocese of Brescia. Every phase of this process should be carried out in agreement with the General Administrator. Rome, November 10, 2003 Fr. Piero Trabucco, Superior General Fr. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General Prot. no. 282/03 The Superior General in a meeting of the Council on November 20, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Region of Brazil, with the assent of the General Administrator and the favorable vote of the General Council, authorizes the sale of the Seminario de Aparecida, São Manuel. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General PURCHASE OF PROPERTY Prot. no. 266/03 The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute in a meeting on November 11, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Region of Tanzania, having heard the opinion of the General Administrator and with the favorable vote of the Council, authorizes the purchase of two pieces of land in Dar es Salaam, one as a building site for Mission Promotion Center and the other as an investment. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General Prot. no. 281/03 The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute in a meeting on November 20, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Region of Italy, having heard the opinion of the General Administrator and with the favorable vote of the Council, authorizes the purchase of a new house in Bedizzole. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General CLOSURE OF A COMMUNITY Prot. n. 295/03 The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, in a meeting on December 3, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Region of North America and having had the favorable opinion of his Council, decided to close the local IMC community of St. Adelaide at Highland in the Diocese of San Bernardino. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General NEW COMMUNITIES Prot. n. 259/03 The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, in a meeting on November 10, 2003, having taken note of the explicit request of the Region of North America and having had the favorable opinion of his Council, confirms the decision to open a new IMC community in the parish of St. Andrew, Diocese of Toronto, in conformity with our Constitutions, Article 127. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General Prot. n. 294/03 The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, in a meeting on December 3, 2003, having taken note of the request of the Ivory Coast Delegation and having had the favorable opinion of his Council, approves the establishment of the new IMC community of Grand Zatry in the Diocese of San Pedro. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General Prot. n. 316/03The Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute, in a meeting on December 12, 2003, having taken note of the request of the South Africa Delegation and having had the favorable opinion of his Council, approves the establishment of the new IMC community of Daveyton in the Diocese of Johannesburg. Darci Vilarinho, Secretary General DISPENSATIONS On November 10, 2003, the Superior General granted a dispensation from temporary vows to José Deusmar de Freitas, a student in the Theological Seminary of São Paulo (Prot. 265/03). On December 10, 2003, the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life granted a dispensation from perpetual vows to the perpetually professed priest, Father John Charles Houston (Prot. 43071/98) DISMISSALS On November 10, 2003, the Superior General dismissed from the Institute the temporary professed Matthew Mwangi Mureria and François Marie Dondo Mebukila, students at the Theological Seminary of Kinshasa (Prot. 264/03). On December 4, 2003, the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life confirmed the decree of dismissal from the Institute of Father Ilídio de Brito Barbosa. The decree was issued on November 10, 2003, in conformity with canons 695 and 1395 § 1 (Prot. 48509/2003).
