We will mention briefly the principal projects carried out or in progress concerning the organization of the Institute. - Mongolia. We had already an opportunity to inform the Institute about the progress of our planned new foundation in Asia. Information is available about the search we carried out in conjunction with the Consolata Sisters in Cambodia and Mongolia and why we settled for the latter - Mongolia. The team chosen for this task was made up of three male and four female Consolata Missionaries. Some of these missionaries are already studying English in preparation for their departure sometime next summer. Last July Mongolia became an Apostolic Prefecture and Father W. Padilla, CICM (Missionaries of Scheut) was appointed the first Apostolic Prefect. - Ivory Coast. Given the increase in personnel and the opening of two new centers this group became a Delegation on February 16, 2002. It chose Blessed Allamano as its protector. At present the Delegation consists of fourteen missionaries in five missionary centers. Our communities are located in two dioceses: San Pedro in the south and Odienné in the north. The majority of the population is Muslim. - Congo Region. The division of the country has led the General Government to create the temporary Delegation of Kinshasa separating it from the Congo Region. At present there are fourteen missionaries working in Kinshasa and they live in five communities, two of which are formation houses. Once the political situation has stabilized and communications between north and south are possible we can return to a single region. Probably the headquarters of this region will be in Kinshasa near our seminaries. Kinshasa is the political and ecclesiastical center of the country. - London. We have been present in this city for fifty years exactly. Given the reduced number our confrères living in England it is no longer an independent Region - it depends directly on the General Government. The closing of our seminary at Totteridge will further reduce the number of confrères living in London. The only Consolata community remaining will be that of Finchley which is primarily a residence for those who are attending English language schools. - Djibouti. We began talking about Djibouti in December 2000 when the African regional superiors chose this tiny territory on the coast of Ethiopia as an ideal place for a missionary community dedicated to dialogue with Muslims. The XCG urged this sort of dialogue. Contact has already been initiated with the Diocese and the Consolata Sisters have expressed their desire to work with us on this project. We believe it will take off sometime in late 2003 or 2004 with personnel drawn from all the African Regions.
