CLOSURE OF COMMUNITIESProt. no. 07/02 In a meeting on March 8, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute took note of a proposal of the Roraima Regional Council and with the favorable opinion of his Council, decided to close the local IMC community of Alto Alegre-Taiano and to give the two parishes to the Diocese of Boa Vista. Prot. no. 09/02 In a meeting on March 8, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute carefully examined the ad hoc committee's study and the conclusions they reached and decided that the London - Totteridge Theological Seminary should move gradually towards closing. By the end of the 2002-2003 academic year this process should be concluded. The many concrete implications of this decision will be gradually studied and discussed by the General Council in agreement with our confrères in England. Prot. no. 24/02 In a meeting on March 18, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute took note of a proposal of the Kenya Regional Council and with the favorable opinion of his Council, decided to close the local IMC community of Kagaene and to give the parish to the Diocese of Meru. NEW COMMUNITIESProt. no. 05/02 In a meeting on March 8, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute examined the request of the Ivory Coast Delegation Council and with the favorable opinion of his Council, approved the creation of a new IMC community at Marandalla in the Diocese of Odienné. With this formal act of approval he instructed the Delegation Council to draw up agreements with the Diocese that will clearly define the boundaries of the parish and duration of our commitment. Prot. no. 06/02 In a meeting on March 8, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute examined the request of the North America Regional Council and with the favorable opinion of his Council, approved the creation of a new IMC community at Saint Adelaide at Highland in the Diocese of San Bernardino, ad experimentum for one year. At the end of this period the Regional Council will review the success of our work particularly with regard to mission and vocation promotion. Prot. no. 08/02 In a meeting on March 8, 2002, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute examined the request of the Roraima Regional Council and with the favorable opinion of his Council, approved the creation of a new IMC community - "Área Missionária do Caranã" - in the city and Diocese of Boa Vista. DISPENSATIONSThe Superior General has granted dispensation from temporary vows to the following students: On March 13, 2002, the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life granted a dispensation from religious vows to the perpetually professed priest, Father Damioli Guglielmo (Prot. 47101/2002). INCARDINATIONSOn April 9, 2002, the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life granted a dispensation from religious vows to the perpetually professed priest, Father Galassi Adalbero, so that he could be incardinated into the Diocese of Dar-Es-Salaam (Prot. 45136/2000). On April 9, 2002, the Congregation for the Institutes of Consecrated Life granted a dispensation from religious vows to the perpetually professed priest, Father Riascos Portilla Mauro Micolás, so that he could be incardinated into the Diocese of Ipiales (Colombia) (Prot. 43466/1998). DISMISSALOn March 12, 2002, with the favorable vote of his Council, and in conformity with canon 694 of the Code of Canon Law, the Superior General declared Father Antonio José Domenech del Río ipso iure dismissed from the Consolata Mission Institute (Prot. 12/02). |
