 In a meeting on June 2, 2001, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute took note of a proposal of the Kenyan Regional Council and after his Council approved this proposal, decided to close the local community of KARIMA in the Archdiocese of Nyeri.

 In a meeting on June 21, 2001, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute with the approval of his Council confirmed the decision of the South African Delegation to open a new community at EMBALENHLE in the Diocese of Dundee.

 In a meeting on June 23, 2001, the Superior General of the Consolata Missionary Institute with the approval of his Council confirmed the decision of the Korean Delegation to open a new community at KURYONGSAN MAUL on the outskirts of Seoul.

DISPENSATIONS

The Superior General has dispensed the following students from temporary vows.

* Wilson Mwangi Kamami of the Theological Seminary in Rome (May 31, 2001)

* Felix Adoyo Oluoch of the Theological Seminary in Nairobi (June 11, 2001)

* Resende Martins Geison of the Theological Seminary in Rome (June 21, 2001)

* Abisia Valentin Bakomba of the Theological Seminary in Kinshasa (August 23, 2001)

On April 10, 2001, the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life granted a dispensation from religious vows to the perpetual professed priest, Fr. Henrique Manuel Gouveia Pinto (Prot. 46169/2001).

On May 26, 2001, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments granted a dispensation from the obligations of the diaconate and religious vows to the perpetual professed deacon, Graciano dos Santos Muapala Melquisedec (Prot. 1061/01/D).

EXCLAUSTRATIONS

On June 2, 2001, the Superior General granted Fr. Antonio José Domenech del Rio permission to live outside the community for one year without exercising his priestly ministry (Prot. 79/01).

On June 18, 2001, the Superior General granted Fr. Maurilio Bianchi permission to live outside the community for one year without exercising his priestly ministry (Prot. 113/01).

On August 5, 2001, the Superior General granted an indult of exclaustration for three years to Fr. Lorenzo Alzate Arboleda so that he can exercise his priestly ministry under the Archbishop of Bogotà (Prot. 277/01).
