This week, all the formators of IMC noviciates and Seminaries of theology, have began their meeting at Bravetta. The opening mass was celebrated yesterday in the evening by the general superior Fr. Aquileo. Today, 27th August 2008, Fr. Paco Lopez, the general councilor in charge of formation led the assembly of formators in presenting and planning the agenda of the meeting. This meeting is scheduled from 27th August 2008 up to 5th September 2008.
The participants are 22 formators from our noviciates and theological seminaries of Kenya, Mozambique, Congo, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Italy. We have also the formators from philosophical seminaries of Italy and Korea. We have got three new formation houses that are worth to mention: first, there is the new noviciate of Mathari-Nyeri in Kenya (with Fr. James Lengarin-novice master with Fr. Attilio Lerda). Secondly, there will be a new seminary of Theology in South Africa at Cedara – with Fr. Casiano Kalima and Fr. Pietro Trabucco as the new formators. The third new house of formation is the center of specialization at Madrid with Fr. Ramon Cazallas as the formator. We are wishing these three communities all the best as they begin their formation in these new houses. The noviciate of Mathari has already began a month ago.
The spirit of this formators’ meeting will be the reflections – on personal level of each formator, in the group work and in the assembly. And today we began with an input on the integration of the process of human and spiritual maturity in the formation. This input was guided by a Marist brother –Antoine Kazandu from Rwanda and then the formators continued in their group work. The feedback of the groups was on the experience, attitudes, dynamics and difficulties of human and spiritual maturity in the formation.
We salute the presence of Fr. Stefano Camerlengo, the vice general superior, who was with us in the afternoon. The formators’ meeting continue tomorrow… |
