CHALLENGES

In an ever-changing world to keep alive one’s own hope and the hope of the peoples.

OPTIONS

To espouse the cause of the poor. With them in mind, we must develop our commitment to Justice & Peace and use the deep spirituality of consolation that is the living expression of our charism so as to keep hope alive.

LINES OF ACTION

1. To place ourselves among the poor so that they may have real power in their life; to promote popular organizations towards the formulation of new public politics and of social control.

2. Getting together with the commissions of J&P at all levels (regional, continental, world) to form people in J&P, to accompany the denunciations and to look for advice until justice be done.


2. IN THE CONTEXT OF CONSECRATED LIFE

CHALLENGES

Overcoming the dispersion and the isolation of the experiences of J&P in America.

OPTIONS

1. Because of our insertion in Religious Life and enlightened by the Word, to make a critical evaluation of the reality using social, theological and ecumenical principles

2 Creating alliances and networks of communications among the Institutes and with other social and religious forces, that will contribute to the creation of another possible world.

LINES OF ACTION

1 To strengthen our action of consolation, forming ourselves and getting the qualifications in order to be able to make a critical evaluation of the micro and macro realities, the contribution of theological, social, economic and ecumenical reflection.

2. To organize and solidify the J&P committees (IMC, MC, LMC), at the regional and continental level linking the reflection, coordinating new paths, fortifying relations and establishing a network of information inside and outside.


3. IN THE CONTEXT OF OUR INSTITUTES IMC, MC & LMC

CHALLENGES

1. Lack of IMC-MC-LMC team work. .

2. Diversity in understanding the socio-ecclesial reality within our institutes

3. Basic and ongoing formation along the lines of J&P in our institutes.

OPTIONS

To grow in the awareness that J&P is an expression of consolation

LINES OF ACTION

1. To live in a team of life, reflection and work, IMC, MC, LMC, and to formulate a communal life project, analyzing the reality, remembering the local martyrs, stressing the reasons that demand our answer.

2. To include J&P in the curriculum of our basic formation, and to involve the formators in specific pastoral choices and experience

3. Insert the missionary causes of J&P in the Mission and Vocation Animation programs.

4. To find spaces, times and means for reflection and participation in national and international events of J&P and Human Rights.
